2016: A Year of Photography
We took a lot of photographs last year, from shooting traffic trails in a seedy car park in Newcastle to taking outdoor clothing lifestyle shots in the beautiful Ingram valley near Wooler with two lovely models, we did it all, below is a selection of our favourite images from 2016.
We started the year with a trip to the Glendale Engineering factory up at Wooler, after a few candid snaps of the people working in the office, we were let lose on the factory floor (after donning various eye and ear protection that is). The difficulty here was working out what to capture, from spark trails to cranes carrying massive girders - we spent the morning in our element and came back with camera cards full of images.
We've spent a lot of times with the Fentiman's bottles this year, we've had them outside the office in the landscape and down in the photography studio too - there's nothing more refreshing after a hard day's shooting than a refreshing glass of Fentimans cherry cola!
Outdoor Clothing Lifestyle
Our brief was a simple one, get a car filled to the brim with outdoor clothes, a couple of models and head into the rugged Northumbrian countryside and capture the clothes in their natural habitat, Ingram Valley offers a bit of everything, hills, river, ruggedness and the odd sheep!
Newcastle Long Exposures
We headed for the bright lights of Newcastle on a dark cold evening with the idea to catch some long exposure images of the city, we started in a dodgy multistory car park, had a wander around the city and ended up on the Tyne Bridge.
Doddington Dairy Ice Cream
Long term client, Doddington Dairy needed some images for a catalogue that the ice cream was going to appear in, we thought bright, light images featuring a simple colour scheme that reflected the flavour would work well, we set up the studio, arranged the props and the results are above.
