Outcook is Alnwick’s newest, freshest and damn right funkiest cookery school. They put the “cor” in Cordon Bleu, the “fan” in fan assisted, and the “mint” in - well - Mint.
Established amidst a growing gap in the market for local cookery instruction, Outcook was set up to provide quality and varied cookery classes in the area with classes ranging from fishy fun to sausage surprises and during last year’s Alnwick Food Festival, none other than the Fantastic Frenchman Jean-Christophe Novelli said “I really enjoyed taking the cookery classes at Outcook. I think it is perfect and I would love to franchise the school". Good, eh?
So what did we do? Well, the first thing we did was to create an ID that could be used for Outcook as an independent brand - but also (with a little tweak) tied them to their parent company - Outlook Home Improvement Centre. We’re a bit clever like that.
Once they had their fabulous new logo we then set about designing a fully dynamic website with an integrated booking calendar, allowing the online booking and payment of all courses. The site is fully dynamic, which means that the client is able to update the content as often as they wish depending on the season, food fashion or mood.
To complement the site we spent the morning learning how to whisk egg whites properly in order to get some “live action” photos. Ian said that his arm has never worked so hard in his life.
