The Lord giveth!

The Northumbria Historic Churches Trust (NHCT) was set up in 1980 to help keep Christian churches of all denominations across the North East in good repair.

The trust’s principal purpose is to help churches with the cost of restoration and repairs.

They do this by offering grants to Christian churches of any denomination that are open regularly for worship, and are located in the North East of England, from ‘the Tweed to the Tees’.

The brief:  create a fresh, modern new brand and website redesign with a user-friendly online grant application system to enable them to manage and process applications efficiently and effectively.

We set to work scoping out a workflow and user journey for the online application system which allows the user to save their application in stages, ideal for when the information required is not at hand. Once complete, the applications are stored in the automated back-end management system where they can be reviewed, processed and approved, triggering helpful emails to the applicant along the way.
