The Challenge
We'd built their original website 10 years earlier, and it had served them well throughout that time. However, a decade on the internet is a long time - what was modern in 2015 was looking outdated by 2025. The site needed modernising both visually and technically to meet current user expectations, particularly around mobile browsing and property search functionality.
With a long-standing relationship already in place, they came back to us to design and build a completely new website that would carry them forward into the next decade.
Our Approach
Rather than simply giving the old site a visual refresh, we took the opportunity to rebuild from the ground up. This allowed us to implement the latest Alto API integration, improve the user experience significantly, and create a platform that would continue to serve Rickard well into the future.
We focused on making property search and browsing as intuitive as possible - recognising that most users would be searching on mobile devices whilst out viewing properties or browsing during their commute.
The Solution
Alto API Integration
The website integrates directly with Alto, Rickard's property management software. All property listings, details, images, and availability are pulled automatically from Alto throughout the day, keeping the website constantly up to date without any manual intervention.
This seamless integration means Rickard's team can manage everything from their office through Alto - adding new properties, updating details, marking properties as sold or let - and these changes appear on the website automatically. The same system also feeds property portals like Rightmove and Zoopla, giving them complete control over their property data from one central platform.
Without this integration, the team would need to manually upload every property to the website separately - a time-consuming process that would inevitably lead to outdated information and errors.
Enhanced Property Search & Display
We completely redesigned the property search experience with improved filtering options, better property display, and intuitive navigation. Users can easily filter by property type, location, price range, and features to find exactly what they're looking for.
Mobile-Optimised Experience
Recognising that property browsing increasingly happens on mobile devices, we ensured the new site works beautifully on phones and tablets. Property images, details, and contact forms are all optimised for smaller screens.
Multiple Contact Points
We improved the enquiry process across the site, making it easy for potential clients to get in touch, whether they're interested in a specific property or seeking professional services.
